OFFICINE PANERAI CELEBRATED THE OPENING OF THE NEW BOUTIQUE WITH A GALA DINNER AT THE ITALIAN AMBASSADOR’S RESIDENCE

Italian luxury watchmaker Officine Panerai celebrated the new boutique opening with an elegant gala dinner, which welcomed a selection of guests at the Italian Ambassador’s Residence, also known as Villa Berg.

The new two-stored boutique, currently the Brand’s biggest in Europe, has opened its doors recently at Petrovka, 5, “Berlinskii Dom”. Its design is emblematic of all Officine Panerai boutiques, where each detail recreates classic Italian style inspired by the sea, a key influence for the brand.

For this occasion the CEO of Officine Panerai Mr Angelo Bonati paid a visit to Moscow. His official speech also featured a special mention to His Excellency Cesare Maria Ragaglini the Ambassador of Italy was the real highlight of the whole event. In his speech Mr Bonati touched on the authenticity of Officine Panerai, its heritage and Italian roots, the reason for which this unique location was chosen. The collaboration of Officine Panerai with the Italian Embassy is a way of passing on the DNA of the brand, born in Florence in the middle of the 19th century. The watch business in Russia was also mentioned, as well as how Officine Panerai is faring. Finally, the new boutique was officially presented, with emphasis placed on its success among Panerai admirers, for whom it has quickly become a mecca.

Among other notable moments, there were several Panerai models from SIHH 2014 on display to the guests during this event. To round off the evening, the guests were treated by a delicious dinner - each dish was carefully created by Italian Chef Michele Brogi for the occasion. The entertainment part of the evening was especially notable. Opera soprano soloist Maria Pakhar from Stanislavsky & Nemirovich-Danchenko Theatre and Bolshoi Theatre performed a fragment from the “Troubadour” by Giuseppe Verdi. After, Maria Pakhar and Larisa Andreeva, mezzo-soprano soloist from the same companies, performed together the part from the Jacques Offenbach’s “The Tales of Hoffmann”. Among the guests of the evening there were seen: actors Irina Apeksimova and Egor Pazenko, TV-presenter Boris Notkin, celebrity photographer Vladimir Glynin, prima ballet-dancer for the Bolshoi Theatre Mikhail Lobuhin as well as Ksenia Gorbacheva, Svetlana Khorkina and many other honourable guests.
