Officine Panerai At The Salon International De La Haute Horlogerie 2013

The Officine Panerai collection presented at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie 2013 affirms the unmistakable identity of these top-of-the range sports watches through history, design, innovation and passion.

The new Luminor Submersible 1950 3 Days Power Reserve Automatic Bronzo and the Luminor Submersible 1950 3 Days Automatic Ceramica combine movements developed and produced entirely in the Officine Panerai manufacture in Neuchâtel with high-tech case materials and a design directly inspired by the historic models of the last century.

The in-house movements have been enhanced by two important new features in the field of chronographs: the P.9100 calibre, the first Panerai automatic movement with the chronograph flyback function, and the sophisticated P.9100/R calibre which combines the chronograph function with the Regatta countdown for the start of yacht races: an instrument of the highest technical content for yachtsmen and all who sail upon the sea.

The historically fascinating Radiomir 1940 case is represented in the new collection by four models using this design, a transitional moment in the evolution from the Panerai Radiomir case to the Luminor one.

Testifying to the skill and expertise of the master watchmakers of Neuchâtel and the research and development carried out by Officine Panerai’s Workshop of Ideas is the first Panerai pocket watch: a remarkable timepiece in ceramic with a tourbillon escapement, appealing to collectors of the most exclusive and sophisticated Special Editions.
