The newest Panerai boutique adds to the brand’s existing China locations after boutiques in Shanghai, Beijing, Shenyang, Nanjing and Tianjin.

Mr. Jean-Sebastien Gerondeau, Managing Director Asia Pacific of Officine Panerai, will join by Mr. Clifford Wong, China General Manager of Officine Panerai, Mr. Wang Ke Long, Managing Director of CTF Watch, and Mr. Joseph Siu, Operation General Manager of Chengdu IFS Mall at the ribbon-cutting ceremony. The opening will grace by honorable guests including local key media representatives, VIPs and business partners.

The “2014 Panerai Collection Exhibition” at the atrium of 3rd floor of Chengdu IFS Mall will slate to open to public from 6th to 14th July 2014. The exhibition is made up of the signature luminous dial with the Super-Lumi-Nova® effects on the hour indices. At 3 o’clock is a prominent panel proudly showcasing the brand’s iconic patented crown protecting device which gives Panerai watches the distinctive face loved by many. More surprises await visitors in the simple, dial-inspired venue decorated with Arabic numerals at both the 12 and 6 o’clock positions. The exhibition will display many latest 2014 novelties which reflect the new classification of the Panerai collections, after the name of the watch cases: Radiomir, Radiomir 1940, Luminor 1950 and Luminor.

Officine Panerai Chengdu Boutique is located in the new landmark of the metropolitan hub of Western China—Chengdu IFS Mall, with an area of 91 sq. m. In the boutique, the classic Italian Design prevails with clean lines, minimalist decoration and the use of glass panels and walls to emphasize light and transparency. All materials have been carefully selected, while the design takes inspiration from the history and tradition of the Florentine watch brand: both the gold Calacatta marble flooring imported from Tuscany and the characteristic stucco wall finishing reflect Panerai’s strong Italian roots. Walls made of teak wood are curved to look like waves, honoring the brand’s link to the sea and its historical association with the Italian Navy. A large Wall Clock in the boutique provides a large-scale version of one of Panerai’s most distinctive features: the sandwich structure of the legendary dial. An exclusive VIP area in the boutique offers Panerai watch lovers with comfortable and private shopping atmosphere.

The opening of the Chengdu Boutique marks another significant move for the brand in the expansion of its exclusive distribution network that covers 64 boutiques around the world, and 22 boutiques in the Asia Pacific region.
